Vivid Web-Services Support |
|
StreamScale has taken a further step along the road of system interoperability with the introduction of XML-RPC support in the recent StreamScale v1.0 firmware release for the Vivid. Commenting on the new capability, StreamScale Chairman John Humphrey said, "Vivid already has very strong integration capabilities and the addition of web-services support just strengthens that position even further.
Although ONVIF has adopted SOAP, we decided not to do the same for Vivid at this point because we don't need to support analytics yet and XML-RPC is light on resources, straightforward, easy to understand and very widely used. XML-RPC is a very good starting point for both ourselves and our integrators to gain experience with web services and to see what customers really want to achieve."
The new Vivid firmware also includes a host of other bug-fixes and feature enhancements over previous Baxall releases - including a new LAN Viewer. The new firmware is available as an easy upgrade for existing Vivid users. For more details click here or contact StreamScale at
